So today was time trials. Jacia and I pumped ourselves up during the warm up, which only made me more excited. Mason and Austin came to cheer on the team. It took a few minutes to start the race because of traffic. As soon as Henderson said go, I was off. Jacia and I were flying. I eventually pulled ahead and started passing people. I was a little nervous that I was going too fast too early but decided to just go with it. I felt pretty good the whole time. My lungs were burning but my legs felt fine. Mason and Austin drove to different parts of the course. I could hear them screaming my name. That helped me push faster. I had a decent kick and ended up pr'ing by 29 seconds. I was the first girl to finish too. This race as a whole was a real confidence booster. Jacia came in a few seconds later and also PR'D. I'm excited for Highland. The course will be challenging but I want to see how hard I can push. We cooled down for a mile afterwards.
