I took a few days off after Ragnar. My whole body just hurt. I did four miles with McKenna. The first two felt good but then my knees started hurting and I got major shin splints. I hate those. I'm icing my knees right now and then I'll stretch them out. Hopefully they feel better. They probably will. If anyone has any advice though for treating knee pain and shin splints, it would be much appreciated.

Five miles with McKenna today. My legs felt better. The knee pain was gone but the shin splints were still there. I tried a few things yesterday and today that seem to be helping. I may have to resort to crying uncontrollably though. I saw the big baby himself at the park this morning.

Met up with McKenna, Jacia, Kyrie, and Reagen at the park this morning. Mile warm up followed by core and then a four mile run. The run went pretty well. We started off all together but then Jacia, Reagen, and I started picking up the pace and broke off from the group. A mile cool down and then the shoe exercises(basically, you use your shoes as weights and do a few different movements with them. It works well). After that we just sat in the grass and talked for a few minutes and watched some races from the Penn Relays. Update on the wounds of Ragnar: both the knee and shin splints are gone so that's awesome!! Thanks for everyone's advice!

9 miles with Jacia and Reagen this morning. Mile warm up and dynamics, then we set out. It was fun to get a good run in with friends. Long runs are the worst alone. We joked around and discussed the upcoming season. We are determined to be region champs this year like the boys team was last year. At about half way through our run, the tiny, white Pomeranian started following us. It kept running in the middle of the road. I was terrified it was going to get run over by some car. That feeling quickly left though when it started running in front of me. It kept almost tripping me and that pissed me off. The Pomeranian finished the run with us but didn't stay for our cool down. We walked a lap around the park and then stretched.
