Today was the first XC practice for Uintah. Mile warm up and then 6 miles at 7:30-8:00 pace with Jacia and Reagen. The last mile was a 6:40. After that, the three of us met up with Kyrie and McKenna for breakfast. We had a good time talking and joking. This season is going to be super fun! I'm excited.

Met with some of the team at 6:30 for an unofficial practice since there is no official practices on Tuesday. Ten minute warm up and then an hour of intense core. I'm pretty sure I developed abs of steel after the work out. We did a 2.5 mile run after at a slow pace  because tomorrow is tempo day. I'm planning on a 6:50ish pace so I thought it better to take it easy today.

After the usual mile warm up, coach had us do a fartlek run. It was one set of 4,4,3,3,2. My legs were ok, but they started getting that jelly feeling. I was hitting some fast paces according to my watch so that was good. Static stretching after. I am proud to say that after six months of vigorous procrastination, I got my drivers permit.🚗 I passed the test on the first try which I guess isn't very common so that was pretty sweet.

Roadkill Statistics: Since we ran around the park, I didn't see any dead things. I saw a dead cat in the car on my way this morning, I guess that counts.

Mile warm up and dynamics, followed by about a half hour of core. After that, the group did a four mile run and then some static stretching.

Mile warm up and dynamics, followed by a 70 minute run. Our average pace was about 8:30 which was nice. When we did this last week it really hurt. It felt really good today though. Finished with dynamics. S/O to Eugene for remaining completely calm during the  car/ Rubik's cube incident.

Quick two miles to get my weekly mileage up to 30. The run felt good. It was pretty fast, about 13 minutes but it was down hill so that helped. I probably should have done more but I didn't feel like it. Walked three miles with my mom after.
